Northrop Grumman invites applications for a Sentinel Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer position on the GBSD program. The role is based in Roy, Utah, with relocation assistance available. A Secret clearance is required and travel up to 10% of the time is expected.

Essential Functions
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, servers, and hardware.
Deploy, manage, and support virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper?V, or other hypervisors).
Implement and manage core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
Support programs with integration and deployment automation in hybrid on?prem and cloud environments.
Build and maintain a cybersecurity system baseline.

Basic Qualifications

Software Engineer: Bachelors degree in Science with 2 years of experience, OR a masters degree with equivalency in experience.
Principal Software Engineer: 5 years of experience with a Bachelors, 3 years with a masters, or 0 years with a PhD; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience translating system requirements into configuration code.
Experience supporting requirements testing and verification.
Independent problem?solving and solution identification.
Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure and encryption principles.
Experience developing and deploying a cybersecurity baseline for AAA services.
Experience with scripting system hardening controls/STIG implementation.
Experience with patch and configuration management in hybrid cloud and on?prem environments.
Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux.
Proficiency scripting in YAML, PowerShell, BASH, JSON, Python, etc.
U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance and reinvestigation within the last 6 years.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient with networking concepts.
Active Top Secret clearance.
Bachelors or masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
Experience integrating and debugging software on hardware.
Experience working within an Agile environment.
Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, SecDevOps, and Visual Studio Code.
High tolerance for requirement ambiguity.
Prior ICBM/ aerospace experience.
Proficiency working in Linux and Windows.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 $115,800.00. Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 $142,900.00. Benefits include health insurance, life & disability insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, PTO, overtime/shift differential, discretionary bonus, and potential long?term incentives.
