Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and active NY licensure for a cardiac catheterization lab role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Procedures performed include cardiac implant closure device placement, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement and removal, PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterization, rotablader atherectomy, and scrub procedures
• Care for middle adult and older adult patient populations
• Role includes equipment setup, sterile technique, and monitoring for life-threatening arrhythmias
• Shift is four 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Candidates are required to float as needed within the scope of clinical practice
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Responsibilities include room circulation, maintaining sterile field, and adhering to strict isolation precautions
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• All requested time off must be communicated during initial consideration
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
• Staff may be called off up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract, with on-call counting against this limit
• Completion of pre-start online modules is required
• Return staff must have at least 1 year since prior employment

Requirements

• Current NY license in hand is required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent cath lab experience
• ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R), and/or CCI RCIS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting is a hard requirement
• Ability to safely perform and assist with cath lab procedures including IABP and PCI
