**Job Title: Endoscopy Nurse**

**Location:** Salem, VA
**Schedule:** Day Shift (07:00 - 17:30)
**Contract Duration:** 91 weeks
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Endoscopy Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Endoscopy department provides critical care to patients undergoing a variety of endoscopic procedures. Nurses play a vital role in the admission, circulation, scrubbing, recovery, and discharge of patients while working in a fast-paced environment.

**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds:** 4 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms
- **Staffing:** Approximately 25 staff members, primarily RNs, with scrub tech and scope room techs
- **Patient Ratios:** Approximately 20-30 patients through the department each weekday
- **Equipment Used:** Olympus scopes, Provation procedural documentation, EMR Meditech

**Responsibilities:**
- Admit patients and prepare them for procedures
- Assist in circulating and scrubbing during endoscopic cases
- Provide recovery care and discharge patients post-procedure
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in line with hospital protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care

**Qualifications:**
**Required Skills:**
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications

**Preferred Skills:**
- PACU or ICU experience is preferred, but not required

**Personality Fit:**
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Quick learner who adapts to frequently changing situations
- Team-oriented with a commitment to patient care

**Floating Areas:** Rare

**Dress Code:**
- Hospital-issued scrubs and adherence to the surgical attire policy
- No visible piercings

**On-Call Requirements:**
- Weekday and weekend on-call required for all staff, including PRN nurses
