Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that all property equipment is functioning, facilities are well-maintained, and guest rooms remain in excellent repair. This position requires a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and compliance with safety standards, while following all guidelines outlined in the Green Shield Binder and by management.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

• Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to guest and associate satisfaction.

• Perform essential duties with minimal supervision, meeting company standards.

• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve issues with diligent follow-up.

• Conduct cleaning and upkeep of property interiors, exteriors, and grounds (including trash removal, walkways, stairwells, parking areas, and seasonal snow/ice removal).

• Complete repairs listed on work orders in a timely and professional manner.

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as scheduled.

• Maintain records of guest room deficiencies, PM inspections, life safety inspections, elevator inspections, and non-guest room deficiencies.

• Keep maintenance areas, boiler rooms, HVAC rooms, and fire safety rooms organized and compliant with standards and local ordinances.

• Ensure fire safety systems and equipment (alarms, detectors, extinguishers, etc.) are fully operational and up to date.

• Adhere to OSHA, ADA, and company safety/security procedures.

• Maintain pool and/or spa facilities in compliance with company standards (where applicable).

• Assist with emergencies at the property or nearby sister sites.

• Monitor and coordinate with outside vendors as directed by management.

Other Duties

• Assist with cleaning of various hotel areas as needed (front desk, associate areas, laundry, fitness room, stairwells, common spaces).

• Support overall hotel cleanliness and appearance.

• Perform other tasks assigned by the management team.
