Medical Assistant

Job Description

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role during patient visits by accompanying the dermatologist in the room and fostering a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists.

Responsibilities

Room patients and document all vital information.

Scribe information for the dermatologist.

Perform blood draws and specimen collection.

Clean and stock exam rooms.

Schedule patient appointments.

Conduct triage and follow up with patients.

Essential Skills

Medical assisting experience of at least 1 year.

Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Experience in rooming patients and medical procedures.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in Dermatology or Specialty Practice preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced specialty clinic.

Willingness to support multiple providers.

Consideration for LPN or RN candidates interested in the position.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Wednesday from 6:45 AM to 4:30 PM. This position includes travel on Tuesdays, with travel pay included. The role involves working in a dynamic clinic environment, supporting various providers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
