Travel RN Case Manager Job Details

• Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Acute Inpatient Case Management
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/24/2026)
• Shifts: 4x10 hour days (7:30am – 6:00pm), weekend rotation required
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
• Pay Range: $46–$59 per hour
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2050

RN Case Manager Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of acute inpatient case management experience, including acute discharge planning
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
• BLS certification through AHA
• Experience with CarePort system
• Ability to quickly acclimate and provide direct patient care on the floor
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, organizational, and time management skills
• Preferred: Experience with AllScripts, GEMS/Sunrise charting; minimum 3 years RN clinical experience; knowledge of discharge planning, utilization management, performance improvement, and managed care reimbursement

RN Case Manager Responsibilities

• Facilitate precertification and payor authorization for patient care
• Coordinate collaborative management of patient care across the healthcare continuum
• Identify and remove barriers to timely, efficient care delivery and reimbursement
• Apply process improvement methodologies to evaluate patient care outcomes
• Support clinical documentation and serve as a resource for coders
• Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Demonstrate clinical skills appropriate to the patient population served
• Plan to meet patient needs, manage length of stay, and promote efficient resource utilization
