Registered Nurse (RN)

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who is ready to take on independent responsibilities in a dynamic clinical setting. Responsibilities:

Deliver patient care in line with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, adhering to your practice level.
Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols; monitor for side-effects and treatment effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately.
Assess learning needs and offer education to patients, families, and caregivers, while identifying resources and addressing issues.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience:
At least one year of experience in the related nursing specialty is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
BLS certification is required.
Active RN license in the state of employment or a compact license is required.
Position Requirements:
Education/Skills:
All newly hired experienced RNs must complete the New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
New hires will be precepted by a designated, trained staff member, and onboarding requirements will be validated upon successful completion of competency evaluations.
Complete all annual competency verification requirements.
Experience:
At least one year of experience in a Critical Care setting is preferred, but we welcome applications from new graduates.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Current ACLS certification is required.
All associates are expected to maintain required certifications for their positions within the designated timeframe as outlined by CHRISTUS Health.
Credential Grace Periods:
Any candidate or associate with at least one year of acute care clinical experience in a similar service line within the past three years is considered an

Experienced Associate.
Candidates or associates without at least one year of full-time acute care clinical experience in the same service line within the past three years are considered

Experienced Associates New to the Specialty.
Grace Periods for Certification:
BLS: No grace period; certification from AHA or Red Cross is needed at time of hire.
ACLS: Within 30 days for Experienced Associates; within 90 days for new graduates.
PALS: Within 30 days for Experienced Associates; within 90 days for new graduates.
TNCC: Within 60 days for Experienced Associates; within 18 months for new graduates.
TCAR: Within 60 days for Experienced Associates; within 18 months for new graduates.
NRP: Within 30 days for Experienced Associates; within 60 days for new graduates.
AWHONN INTERMEDIATE FHM: Within 30 days for Experienced Associates; within 60 days for new graduates.
STABLE: Within 30 days for Experienced Associates; within 60 days for new graduates.
