Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with MI licensure and competence in both circulating and scrubbing for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30
• One weekend shift every 6 weeks, possible charge nurse duties
• Six overnight call shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required with on-call rotation as needed
• Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on volume and census
• Use Cerner charting system; Cerner experience required
• XI DaVinci robotics experience preferred
• Scrub uniforms are provided
• Complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules within 1 week of signing; modules are self-reported
• Professional conduct is strictly enforced and any issues may result in immediate contract termination
• Candidates may be assigned charge nurse duties as needed

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required (pending accepted but must be active by start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Competence in both circulating and scrubbing roles required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Return policy: must be 3 years since prior employment at the facility
