Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,360 - $1,460
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (potential to extend)
• Location: Commerce Township, MI 48382
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 21, 2025
• Healthcare Setting: 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Float as needed within skillset
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system strongly preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
• Administer medications and infusions, including occasional chemotherapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Support patients with a range of diagnoses, such as generalized weakness, anemia, pancreatitis, and kidney stones
• Float to other hospital units within your clinical skillset as needed
