Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides essential care to residents in long-term care settings. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), the NA is responsible for delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance based on individual care plans. The role involves providing support with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and basic health care needs, as well as fostering a positive environment for residents during meals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents with essential daily living activities
Documenting care and reporting changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
Providing psychosocial support and engagement in wellness programs
Undergoing yearly competency testing and maintaining continuing education credits
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents
Qualifications
While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, it is not required. Candidates should be at least 16 years old, and prior experience in long-term care is beneficial. Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required, and training will be provided if not already certified.
