Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Chattanooga, TN 37412 – Experience the vibrant city life, scenic riverfront, and outdoor adventures in the heart of Tennessee healthcare.
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: August 27, 2025
• End Date: November 26, 2025
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel nurse assignment preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring
• Experience with Meditech and Centricity electronic health records preferred
• Ability to wear required uniform: solid black, grey, or pink scrubs (no patterns)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Perform cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, IV starts, and lab draws
• Circulate and recover cesarean sections (primarily with spinal anesthesia)
• Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Utilize advanced L&D tools and techniques, including Jada, fetal pillow, Cook's catheters, and nitrous oxide therapy
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed (infrequent)
