Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR/Neuro IR experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting.

Responsibilities

• Position based in an academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center designations
• Work in a large department with 10 dedicated Interventional Radiology rooms
• Caseload averages 46–50 Interventional Radiology cases per day including complex neuro and body procedures
• Patient population includes stroke, cancer, vascular blockages, neurovascular emergencies, and oncologic interventions
• Shifts available as 8, 10, or 12 hours with an 8:00 AM start; rotating day shifts
• On-call required one day per week from 4:00 PM until last case is complete
• Weekend rotation every 7th to 8th weekend from Friday 4:00 PM to Monday morning until all cases are finished
• Must be available for 75% of holidays if scheduled
• No floating to other departments required
• Utilizes Epic Encompass EMR; department equipped with Siemens, GE, Philips imaging systems, and GE ultrasound units
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including neuro radiologists, neurosurgeons, and body intervention specialists
• Each case is covered by two technologists, with additional support staff for transport and inventory
• Orientation lasts up to two weeks depending on experience and comfort level
• Department culture is collaborative and supportive of new grads and preceptorship
• Scrubs are hospital provided
• Free onsite parking is available
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification is required
• Experience scrubbing and assisting in IR/Neuro IR procedures and ability to circulate and operate procedural equipment
• Familiarity with Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging systems
• License required if applicable
