As a part of Core Platform Runtime Engineering, this team designs and delivers scalable, reliable, and high-performance scheduling systems that ensure millions of workflows run on time, every time. Their work underpins the stability, speed, and efficiency of mission-critical operations across all ServiceNow products and customers.

Manage product development activities

Work with product management, design, support and other dev teams to create high-quality solutions

Manage daily activities of the development team

Solve difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems

Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team

To be successful in this role, you have:

Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.

8+ years of experience with technologies relevant to SN and advanced coding skills

Experience managing employees who require little oversight in completing assigned work

Experience providing direction, delegating assignments, and support to accomplish tasks with their team

Experience with open-source tools and agile development environments

Fluency in one or more relevant programming languages (Java, C++, Ruby, Shell, JavaScript)

Ability to understand broad concepts and use those concepts to understand and develop solutions for problems

Experience in completing projects based on company priorities, context, risks, and desired outcomes

Ability to understand and implement best practices and coding standards about role-specific requirements (e.g. programming languages and tools, network design, functional design, algorithms, patterns, design and development, etc.)

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $163,600 - $286,300, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
