RN Position Job Notes

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position starting ASAP
• Weekend requirements apply
• No on-call requirements, but flexibility to pick up extra shifts when needed is appreciated
• Float to other units including medical, orthopedic, and PCU as needed
• Maintain 1:6 nurse to patient ratio
• Care for diverse patient population including general medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, OB surgical, and pediatric patients
• Required certifications: BLS and RN License in state of employment or compact state
• Preferred experience in general med-surg and EPIC system
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education
