Operating Room RN Job Details

• Location: Rutland, Vermont (05701) – Vermont nursing jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse position
• Unit: Operating Room (OR) – Surgical nursing
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: January 31, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 10-hour rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2320 - $2490
• Orientation: Biweekly sessions for travel nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must obtain Vermont RN license upon acceptance
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Orthopedic OR nursing experience highly preferred
• Scrub nurse experience highly preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Ability to provide a complete and accurate work history, including facility details and explanations for any employment gaps over 30 days
• Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available)
• Local candidates are not eligible for this travel RN job

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the Operating Room, specializing in orthopedic surgical procedures
• Perform circulating and, if qualified, scrub nurse duties during surgical cases
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (preferred)
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Attend orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
