Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology procedures, holding BLS, ACLS, and a current RCIS, RCVT or RCES certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cardiac catheterization lab providing minimally invasive cardiac and full-service electrophysiology procedures
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, varying between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• 40 hour work weeks, with team effort to remain at 40 hours though overtime may occur
• Rotating weekday and weekend call with an estimated 12 call days per month, including holiday coverage
• No floating to other units is specified
• Contract length of 13 weeks with potential extension and option for longer contracts
• Participation in minimally invasive cardiac procedures and full-service electrophysiology is required
• Holiday call coverage is required and no holiday time off is permitted
• Pre-start completion of 3 hours of online modules is required
• Passing facility-specific fit testing is mandatory with no exceptions or accommodations
• Potential for overtime depending on call coverage or workload
• All RTO must be discussed prior to contract acceptance and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Facility will consider allied professionals who live within 50 miles of the hospital
• Candidates must have no prior issues with fit testing and demonstrate compliance with facility’s screening standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a cath lab setting
• BLS and ACLS required
• Current RCIS, RCVT, or RCES certification required; ARRT credential not accepted for this role
• Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology program eligible for Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry
• Must have VA or compact license in hand at time of consideration
• No license or background history hits permitted
• Must be able to participate in fit testing; facility cannot accommodate PAPR and all fit test requirements must be met
• Current DL and SSN required for consideration
• Two professional references needed for consideration
