Your Responsibilities as a Hospice Aide:
Deliver direct personal care to terminally ill patients with compassion and respect.
Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting to ensure patient comfort.
Facilitate safe mobility by supporting patients with walkers and wheelchairs.
Help prepare meals, assist with feeding, and perform light housekeeping tasks.
Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or mental condition to the care team.
Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families during challenging times.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient visits and care provided.
Engage in team meetings and Quality Improvement (QI) activities.
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines at all times.
What You Bring to the Role:
Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
Current CPR certification (Required).
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
At least six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Preferred).
Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments.
Demonstrated compassion, patience, and emotional resilience.
A willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs.
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
Background in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology.
Experience in hospital nursing, ICU, geriatrics, med-surg, ER, telemetry, or nursing homes.
Familiarity with end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support.
