ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

• Facility: Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: March 14, 2026
• Contract Duration: 19 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (varied start times: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p)
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: 1-2 holidays per contract
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a high-volume, high-acuity ED
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or compact state
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Strong clinical skills in emergency nursing, critical care, and pediatric emergency medicine
• Proficient with chest tubes, arterial lines, blood administration, BiPAP/ventilators, and splinting
• Experience with barcode scanning medication administration
• Medication drip management and triage experience (must pass hospital triage test)
• Trauma and code case experience; pediatric emergency nursing highly preferred
• Familiarity with EMR (EPIC preferred), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Stabilize and transfer high-acuity patients (neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, high-acuity pediatrics)
• Perform advanced emergency procedures: chest tube setup, arterial line placement, blood administration, ventilator/BiPAP management, and splinting
• Administer medications using barcode scanning and manage medication drips
• Conduct triage and patient assessments, ensuring accurate acuity assignment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including ED techs, medical assistants, charge nurses, hospitalists, and advanced practice providers
• Draw labs and assist with trauma/code cases as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and participate in ongoing education and orientation
