Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a hospital-based role requiring a SC or compact RN license, with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cath Lab with 5 rooms plus a Hybrid OR
• Handles Right and Left Heart Cath Diagnostics, PCI, Complex PCI, CTO, ASA, PFO/ASD, MitralClip, Watchman, PTMV, TAVR, Peripheral, and Vascular cases
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
• On-call required 1-2 nights per week and one weekend in a six-week period, with possible holiday call
• EPIC EMR is used; experience preferred
• Floating not specified
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers are accepted
• All time off requests (RTO) must be included at the time of submission and are subject to approval
• Responsibilities include participating in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and emergency response as needed
• Modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hours
• During hurricane season (June to November), assignment to emergency response teams may be required
• Holiday call may be required
• Travelers may only be submitted to one unit or campus at a time

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required at start of contract
• Minimum of 1 year Cath Lab RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Radiation badge provided by agency is required
• Scrub experience is preferred
• Experience with Cath Lab procedures specified is preferred
• Previous perm staff or PRN must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
