Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Grade and sort products according to factors such as color, specs, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, quality, and weight.
- Discard inferior or defective products, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing.
- Consistently maintains a satisfactory level of productivity.
- Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Perform quality inspections of materials, grading properly, and ensuring that the delivery is completed as requested and that the order meets company and industry standards.
- Place and grade products in containers according to specifications.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to produce and packages when necessary.
- Must always wear employee badge ID inside the facility.
- Will be involved with food safety activities.
- Stacking, dumping, loading, and unloading cardboard boxes.
- Repetitive heavy lifting.
- Follow company policy and safety rules.
- Inspect and grade product within standards.
- Weight specification must be met for all orders.
- Inspect weight of product to assure that specifications are met.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to produce and packages.
- Help dispose product in dumpster and maintain area clean.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined.
- Stretch wrap products.
- Must always wear employee badge ID inside the facility.
