You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of sof tware, allowing them to communicate. As an embedded Sof tware Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll support the development of systems, sites, and tools for our clients. Using the latest tools and technology, you'll write, test, and edit code in support of the team's overall results . You'll expand your skills as you develop and reverse engineer sof tware that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices and configure solutions based on the platform being used. You'll work with other team leaders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues and with cybersecurity spe cia lists to ensure that the sof tware you're creating is secure. You Have: * 5+ years of experience in sof tware engineering or sof tware development for information technology systems
* Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing sof tware programming applications using Agile met hods
* Experience with embedded sof tware languages and products
* Experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting embedded sof tware for hardware functionality on a wide range of devices and optimizing code based on the platform being used
* Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
* Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
* Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
* Secret clearance
* Bachelor's degree in Sof tware Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and 5+ years of experience in sof tware engineering, or 9+ years of experience in sof tware engineering in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: * Experience with Space Systems or Satellite Communications
* Experience with embedded programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, or Python
* Experience with Android iOS, Swift, Wind River VxWorks, IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Gdb Debugger
* Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* TS / SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
