• Schedule:  Full-time, Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm, variable weekends / Holidays 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
• Hospital:  Ascension Via Christi, St. Francis
• Location:  Wichita, Kansas

This position has some flexibility and can cover either in Outpatient 5 days / week - assisting in acute if there are cancellations OR can be in Outpatient 3 days / week and cover in Acute Care 2 days /week as our OP clinic is located within the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.

• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
• Document treatment interventions given.
• May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Outpatient and Acute Care Experience preferred.
