Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a day shift Emergency Department position in California requiring acute care ED discharge planning and a current CA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department at an acute care hospital
- Monday through Friday schedule from 11:00 to 19:00 with no weekends
- Position covers eight-hour day shifts only
- Uses EPIC EMR for documentation
- Conduct initial assessments and facilitate discharge planning for ED patients
- Position is for a 13-week assignment
- Up to 36 hours of call off may be initiated by the facility during the course of the assignment
Requirements
- Active and current CA RN license required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience
- Recent emergency department discharge planning experience required
- Experience with emergency department utilization review (UR) required
- Experience with EPIC EMR documentation required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
