Lead Software Engineer

As a software engineering lead for General Dynamics Mission Systems, youll lead and work with a cross-functional software team responsible for the entire software development life cycle. You will plan, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications to support weapon systems integrated into combat vehicles, ships, submarines, aircraft, spacecraft, and other advanced defense systems.

• Experience leading software engineers, including setting goals, tracking performance, and driving results
• Proficient in C/C++
• Proficient in Javascript
• Linux experience at the User or Administrator level
• Experience with collaborative source control (e.g. Synergy, GitLab)
• Experience with containers
• Experience with software requirements and documentation (i.e. Design, Development, and Test Documents and Diagrams)
• A proven track record of being inquisitive, self-motivated engineer that is motivated by solving tough problems
• Capable of working in a collaborative environment and communicating technical concepts
• A thirst for knowledge

This position is primarily on-site, with opportunities for Hybrid/Flex. While on-site, you will be a part of the GDMS Pittsfield, MA Engineering Team.

Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. Combined Salary Range USD $110,175.00 - USD $122,225.00 /Yr.
