Project Manager

The Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the Design and Fabrication Project Management Team. This role involves developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule to track all project milestones for on-time delivery. The Project Manager will manage contract documents, ensure compliance with schedules, and interface with engineering leads and project engineers to ensure successful design output and client approval.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule to track all project milestones.
• Manage contract documents to ensure they are complete, current, and filed appropriately.
• Set and manage client expectations effectively.
• Interface with engineering leads to ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Interface with project engineers to ensure successful design output as approved by the client.
• Review project submittal and fabrication drawings to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Meet budgetary objectives and generate change orders, obtaining customer approval.

Essential Skills:

• Project management experience in scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and architecture.
• Vendor management skills, including coordination with external suppliers and customer-facing capabilities.
• Proficiency in Smart Sheets, MS Excel, and MS Office applications.
• 2-3+ years of experience in scheduling, budgeting, project tracking, and vendor/client management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.

Work Environment:

The first month will be 100% onsite, after which a hybrid schedule will be available with 2 days working from home. You will be part of a Project Management Team consisting of 7 members, combining both Design and Fabrication teams. This position offers flexibility to work from home after training and the opportunity to work on large-scale projects such as airports and train stations. The workplace is part of the largest building materials manufacturer in the US.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, California.

Pay and Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
