Labor and Delivery

Unit Specifics:
· Patient Ratios : 1:1 during active labor/induction or cesarean section; 3:1 postpartum, 2:1 antepartum unless unstable
· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : OB Surgical Tech staff that also function as unit secretary
· Type of equipment : CPN – Centricity Perinatal/Meditech
· Floating policy: Minimum 2 years labor experience, prefer some postpartum experience
ACLS, BLS, NRP and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM
Procedures performed on unit:
Vaginal Deliveries, Cesarean Sections, D & C, Jada placement

· Unit remodel completed in 2024, level II NICU, Labor & Delivery Services | Menorah Medical Center
· 24 hour in-house anesthesia and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Patient Experience Rating top 10% in HCA for 8 quarters, Employee Engagement 81%, physician engagement 85%;
