Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit night shift position requiring a minimum of 1 year experience and BLS certification.

Responsibilities
Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a short-term acute care hospital with 60 staffed beds
Night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
Every other weekend shift required
No holiday shift requirement
Floating required within Acute Care, CCU, ACU, ICU, and Inpatient Rehab as needed
Charting is done using McKesson/Alltara and Cerner
No on-call responsibilities
Modules of up to 8 hours must be completed prior to start, with average completion time of 3-8 hours
Collaboration between ACU and ICU is frequent due to close working relationship
Scrub color is not specified; any color may be worn
RTO restrictions apply; a maximum of 10 days off is allowed, and if time off is during holidays, traveler must work one of the three holidays
Will not consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius
Support provided for onboarding and completion of mandatory modules

Requirements
Active RN license or pending state license required by start date
Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Cerner charting experience required
Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
First-time travelers accepted
Return travelers must have at least 3 years since prior employment
