Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. Your responsibilities will encompass both clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs, reconciling medications, and reviewing medical history.
• Perform in-office testing, including EKGs, blood draws, oxygen studies, and mental status exams.
• Administer vaccines and injections as needed.
• Assist with medical procedures such as suture removal, casting, and ultrasound therapy.
• Document patient information accurately in the Epic EMR system.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Close care gaps by managing screenings and diabetic eye exams.
• Support patient communications and facilitate referrals.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Medical Assistant certification
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Familiarity with Epic and Athena EMR systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinic environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
• Proficiency in patient care and customer service
• Skills in appointment scheduling and medical assisting

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
