We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic testing across multiple disciplines and provide phlebotomy services for patients of all ages, including newborns and pediatric population. This role is essential to ensuring accurate clinical results and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory disciplines.
• Provide phlebotomy services for patients, including newborns and pediatrics.
• Ensure accurate clinical results through meticulous testing procedures.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, employees, and the public.
• Assess emergencies and act accordingly.

Essential Skills

• Experience in healthcare setting (minimum 1 year required).
• Active BLS certification.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Familiarity with universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma/Certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.

Work Environment

The position involves working Monday through Friday from 10 am to 7 pm, and every other Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm. The workplace is located in Wellington, Florida. The work environment encourages growth and offers training opportunities within the laboratory setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wellington, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $58151.73 - $69670.38/yr.
