Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week acute care hospital contract with a focus on adult and geriatric orthopedic, neurological, and functional mobility cases.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital environment
• Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• No floating or on-call requirements, except for low census situations
• Treat adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic and neurological conditions
• EPIC charting experience is preferred
• Travel experience is strongly preferred
• Candidates should be hard working, resilient, and have strong social skills
• Scrubs of any color may be worn but are not provided
• Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Up to 36 hours of low census on-call may occur during the contract
• EPIC EMR experience is valued
• No weekend, call, or holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Active WI State Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
• NPI number required or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred, with inpatient and outpatient experience a plus
• Experience working with adult/geriatric populations with orthopedic, neurologic, and functional mobility needs
• Ability to adapt well and manage change
