Night shift, 3x12-hour format from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Job Description

The 3E CPU unit is a combined Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling higher acuity patients, with competencies in both PCU and telemetry care. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac telemetry, managing patients with various cardiac conditions, and responding to emergencies as part of a comprehensive healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on cardiac telemetry.
• Administer blood products and manage IV therapy.
• Care for patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD exacerbation, NSTEMI, new Afib, arrhythmias, and renal failure.
• Utilize Rapid Response and Code teams effectively.
• Implement isolation precautions as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a telemetry or progressive care setting.
• Certifications required: BLS, CPI, NIHSS. ACLS preferred.
• Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of peripheral and PICC line care.
