Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with home health experience and a Wisconsin license to provide care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting with primary coverage for adult and geriatric populations
• Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
• PTs rotate working one Saturday every 6-8 weeks, with a weekday off in compensation
• Occasional travel to other branches as needed; mileage reimbursed at government approved rate
• Average caseload is 4.5 patient visits per day
• Uses NetSmart EMR for documentation and a laptop for point of service documentation
• Cell phone provided for GPS navigation and communication
• Key responsibilities include evaluation, treatment, and care planning in accordance with PT standards of practice
• Maintains documentation to meet regulatory and reimbursement standards
• Expected to meet productivity standards for daily patient visits
• Rotation for Saturday coverage and no holiday work required
• Eligible for up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours during contract
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the primary work location

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin Physical Therapy license required if applicable
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Bachelors degree is required; Masters degree in Physical Therapy preferred
• Minimum experience in home health and working with adult/geriatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, and mobility diagnoses
• Knowledge of Physical Therapy standards and practices required
• Must possess excellent resilience and adaptability to change
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
