Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for an Intermediate Care Unit night shift position requiring an active IL RN license and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Position located in the Intermediate Care Unit within an acute care hospital
• Telemetry unit with night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs, including to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Epic EMR is used and experience with Epic is required
• On-call duties are required
• Provide telemetry care for patients requiring intermediate monitoring
• Navy scrubs are required while on shift
• Free parking is available on site
• Facial hair restrictions may apply for fit testing
• Holiday coverage may be required as per facility policy

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in telemetry or intermediate care
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required
• Epic charting experience required
• Cannot reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning to the facility as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off per 13-week contract, with no time off permitted during orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
