Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team. This position will involve caring for adult and geriatric patients with a range of diagnoses, including osteoarthritis and fractures. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and wound care, as well as experience with orthopedic and telemetery nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including cardiac drips and PCA.
• Manage and care for patients with feeding tubes, chest tubes, and tracheostomies.
• Perform wound care and manage wound vacs as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ensuring timely response to changes in patient status.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration is preferred.
• Knowledge of heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, and cardiac drip management.
• Ability to float between like units as needed.
