Job Description

The Receptionist is responsible for answering phones, performing customer service, and handling other clerical duties as assigned. This role involves maintaining the Front Desk Reception area, greeting customers, directing them to service areas or amenities, and coordinating with salespersons. Additionally, the Receptionist is responsible for ordering supplies when authorized and assisting in the smooth functioning of the dealership. A cheerful and professional demeanor toward customers and employees is essential.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct incoming telephone communications.

Greet customers and direct them to service areas, coffee, restrooms, or seating areas.

Contact salespersons for customers as needed.

Order necessary supplies when authorized by managers.

Perform clerical duties to assist in the smooth functioning of the dealership.

Maintain a cheerful and professional demeanor toward customers and other employees.

Essential Skills

Customer service experience.

Outgoing personality.

Ability to multitask.

Administrative support.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Outlook is a plus.

Experience in retail or food service is beneficial due to similar scheduling and customer service skills.

Work Environment

The position is based in NE Salem, within a dealership offering Toyota, Subaru, Chevrolet, and Nissan vehicles. The role requires working Monday to Friday from 2:50 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 7:50 AM to 2:00 PM or 1:50 PM to 8:00 PM, and two Sundays a month from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Initial training includes five days from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM with Chauni and three days closing with another team member.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
