Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MRI Technologist for weekend shifts, focusing on neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging with strong oncology case exposure.

Responsibilities

• Position involves both inpatient and outpatient MRI imaging
• Typical patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Handles an average of 35–40 MRI cases per day
• Specialized in neuro, abdominal, musculoskeletal, and oncology imaging
• Work schedule is Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment and PACS for imaging and documentation
• Electronic Medical Records are documented using EPIC
• Duties include performing advanced MRI imaging protocols for oncology, neuro, and orthopedic cases
• Onboarding includes strict fingerprinting and credentialing deadlines that must be met prior to the start date
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• At least two professional references are required, with one from a manager, director, or supervisor
• Candidates must list all requested time off with initial consideration
• Former employees may be considered if away for at least 6 months; current employees are not eligible for traveler roles at this location

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience required
• ARRT and BLS certifications are required
• Ohio State MRI Tech license is required if applicable
• Proficiency in imaging procedures including abdominal, pelvis, chest, brain, face/neck, hip/bony pelvis, knee, shoulder, and spine
• Experience working in Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and Pediatric Acute Care settings
• Must be familiar with advanced imaging procedures such as fusion, gradient echo, ADC mapping, MIP, perfusion, spectroscopy, and spin echo
• Experience using Siemens MRI equipment and PACS is required
