ER RN Job Details – Meriden, CT

• Location: Meriden, Connecticut 06451 (Central Connecticut, near Hartford and New Haven)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 8/11/2025 – End: 11/11/2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Services Unit / Emergency Department
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend and holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,140 per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – Connecticut RN license preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) or ER nursing experience
• Recent hands-on experience (within the past 6 months) with EPIC EMR
• Experience in a high-volume emergency room (over 150 patient visits per day)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association preferred)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical protocols
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Accurately document all patient care activities in EPIC EMR
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
