Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Full-time position working 8-hour day shifts
• Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulation in accordance with radiation oncologist prescriptions and instructions
• Must have ARRT (T) registration required
• Judge when treatment should be withheld until consultation with radiation oncologist
• Assist in treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Maintain accurate scheduling and see patients on or before appointed times
• Explain procedures to patients and assess patients and family members for special needs
• Prepare rooms and equipment for use and provide safe, clean environment for patients
• Report treatment variations and equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
• Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
• Perform accurate documentation and record keeping
• Perform weekly chart checks and rotate responsibilities with partner
• Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology required
• Must possess current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate with Texas Medical Board
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Preferred minimum of one year experience in hospital or treatment center environment
• Basic computer knowledge and effective communication skills required
