Inventory Control Specialist

Material Handler

Pay: $20/Hour

Location: Auburn, WA

Shift: 4AM-2:30PM

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock. You will monitor, organize, and maintain inventory of company products at multiple branch locations while working alongside a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.

Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.

Enter data for inventory into a computer system and record data manually using a clipboard.

Load and unload metal materials (raw materials) both manually and with a forklift.

Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.

Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.

Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.

Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.

Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.

Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket operations.

Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff.

Perform verification of scrap and assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.

Perform equipment preventative maintenance and cleanup.

Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.

Essential Skills

Ability and experience operating a sit-down forklift.

Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and general labor.

Proficiency with computers and data entry.

Work Environment

Work in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. The environment is fast-paced with over 60 employees on the floor. Shifts are available as follows: 1st shift from 4am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday, 2nd shift from 2:30pm-1am Monday-Thursday, and 3rd shift from 4am-4:30pm Friday-Sunday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $21.20/hr.
