Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of radiology experience and required certification to perform CT procedures across diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cat Scan unit performing computed tomography procedures
• Patient population includes newborn through geriatric patients
• Schedule is Tuesday and Friday 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Procedures conducted under direction of a physician and CT Operations Manager using prescribed ionizing radiation levels
• EPIC EMR system is used
• Must operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of specified body parts
• Adherence to all federal, state, local, and hospital policies for patient safety
• Knowledge of adult and older adult patient needs is preferred
• Must provide care to a wide age range from newborn to geriatric
• Flu vaccination is required with no medical or religious exemptions allowed
• Parking may incur a daily cost and is not validated
• Local candidates must reside more than 60 miles from central Boston to qualify for standard pay rates
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of radiology experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
• ARRT registration as RT(R) or RT(N) required
• ARRT registry in Computed Tomography preferred; if not held, must be obtained within one year of hire
• Must be licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board; MA conditional licenses are not accepted (license required if applicable)
• Ability to insert and remove IVs
