Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role during patient visits by accompanying the dermatologist in the room and fostering a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document all vital information.
• Scribe information for the dermatologist.
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection.
• Clean and stock exam rooms.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Conduct triage and follow up with patients.

Essential Skills

• Medical assisting experience of at least 1 year.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Experience in rooming patients and medical procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Dermatology or Specialty Practice preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced specialty clinic.
• Willingness to support multiple providers.
• Consideration for LPN or RN candidates interested in the position.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Wednesday from 6:45 AM to 4:30 PM. This position includes travel on Tuesdays, with travel pay included. The role involves working in a dynamic clinic environment, supporting various providers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
