Job Summary and Qualifications
Utilize the nursing process to independently deliver high-quality care to patients while acknowledging the need for guidance based on self-assessment.
System Resource Pool RNs will be required to float to various facilities of the Methodist Healthcare System, adhering to specific staffing requirements based on their assigned tier.
Complete ongoing training and competencies according to service line, facility, and department needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate or baccalaureate).
Experience: Minimum of two years RN experience, including one year in a specialty area for floating roles.
Current RN license to practice in Texas or an Active MultiState RN Compact License (Texas license required within 60 days of hire).
BLS Certification required.
Essential Functions:
Develop individualized patient care plans based on assessments and ongoing analysis.
Incorporate educational needs of patients and their families into care plans.
Safely administer medications and treatments while monitoring for unusual occurrences.
Effectively respond to crisis situations, ensuring proper notifications and interventions.
Document patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust care as needed.
