Location: The Guthrie Clinics - Willow Avenue or Hanshaw Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Monday - Friday and rotating weekends. Hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Fixed Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs specialized cleaning duties with the intent of disinfecting ambulatory healthcare facilities including restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, procedure rooms, and specialty areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Disinfecting surfaces with provided chemicals.
• Dusting and polishing furniture and fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges.
• Cleaning reception glass and entrance windows.
• Moving chairs/stools, waste/linen/biohazardous bins, small equipment on wheels, scales, and other items for proper cleaning. Realigning items according to recommended layout.
• Cleaning floors including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. Performing carpet spot cleaning and upholstery spot cleaning.
• Collecting and disposing of general trash and biohazardous waste. Performing routine cleaning on general trash and biohazardous waste containers.
• Replenishing soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other items.
• Maintaining equipment, tools and storage areas in clean and orderly operating condition.
• Working with alarm systems to arm and disarm.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
