Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Special Procedures Neuro Vascular Technologist with 2+ years of radiologic technology experience and current NYS licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting focused on interventional radiology, neuro endovascular procedures, and vascular surgery (hybrid)
• Assist with complex imaging procedures including catheterization, contrast injections, and neurovascular interventions
• Monday through Friday day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rotating call requirements
• Uses Cerner EMR and is responsible for exam verification in the hospital RIS and archival to PACS
• Equipment includes power injectors, catheters, guidewires, and Hi-IQ inventory system
• Assist physicians during procedures including prepping patients, scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patient status
• Responsible for supply charging, inventory management, and daily quality control
• Follow departmental and hospital protocols and maintain sterile field
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• Returning employees are subject to a review of prior employment before assignment eligibility is determined
• Completion of hospital-specific modules via the iLearn platform is required prior to assignment start
• Professional dress code or scrubs required as per hospital policy

Requirements

• ARRT certification required
• Valid New York State Radiological License required (license required if applicable)
• New York State Injection License required
• BLS certification required; only AHA BLS accepted
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Radiologic Technology required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiology
• Two professional references from previous managers required
