Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and acute rehab experience to join a Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a 456-bed acute care hospital that is a Level II Trauma center
- Primarily assigned to the acute rehab unit with an average daily census of 11
- Work schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekend and holiday coverage
- Cerner EMR system is used; prior Cerner experience preferred
- Deliver patient-centered speech, language, and swallowing therapy services within the acute rehab unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient progress
- Rotating coverage on weekends and holidays may be required
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a reduced pay rate
Requirements
- Current CT Speech and Language Pathologist license required if applicable
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through ASHA required
- Minimum of 1 year of acute rehab experience required
- Two professional references from managers in the past year in the current discipline/specialty required
- If any certification or license is expiring, documentation of renewal must be provided
