Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for night shifts, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least two years of L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit at a hospital
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
• May be required to float to other campuses or units as needed
• Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
• Must live at least 150 miles from the facility
• Will provide care for laboring and postpartum patients
• May occasionally float to sister campuses or alternate units as needed for staffing
• Return travelers must have been gone at least one year if previously a perm staff member
• Clinicians must be able to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance or have a plan in place
• Online modules (approximately 6-8 hours) are completed during orientation
• Modules and certifications must be completed and verified prior to start date

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
• Minimum two years of recent experience in labor and delivery
• Three years of experience preferred
• References from supervisors within the last three years required
• Travel nursing experience preferred but first-time travelers accepted
