Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of invasive cardiology experience and proficiency in EPIC EMR for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Invasive cardiology department with 3 procedural labs and a 12-bed prep and recovery area
• Performs cath, electrophysiology (EP), and peripheral vascular procedures
• Advanced STEMI and cardiac arrest interventions, including Impella and ECMO
• Structural heart procedures are being developed
• Team includes 7 invasive cardiologists, electrophysiologists, RNs, and technologists
• Primary adult patient population
• Uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience required
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, Monday through Friday, 07:00 to 17:30, with rotating weekday off
• On-call required as needed by the unit
• May provide care for COVID patients
• May be required to work 2 of 3 major holidays and must not request time off between Christmas and New Year's
• Client prefers a maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
• Interview will be conducted by manager after clinical review
• Pairs accepted but matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided upon assignment
• Facility is within a 50-mile local radius requirement; local candidates offered a lower pay rate
• Pre-assignment modules and compliance documentation required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab or EP lab experience
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R), Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• No license issues allowed for consideration
• Ability to work with advanced cardiac interventions and devices
• Modules must be completed pre-start (billable, 5-6 hours)
