Receptionist Job Duties and Requirements:

Welcome clients and visitors upon arrival at reception

Answer, screen, and forward phone calls in a professional manner

Assist clients and visitors with the location of legal staff

Schedule and confirm appointments

Observe business etiquette and maintain a professional appearance

Direct the flow of mail, faxes, and deliveries to reach the intended recipients

Order and replenish office supplies

Manage the maintenance and repair of office equipment

Assist with copying, scanning, faxing, emailing, meeting minutes, and travel bookings

Prepare meeting rooms and arrange refreshments, if required

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Prior experience as a legal receptionist will be advantageous

Familiarity with legal terms, legal documents, and filing

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Extensive experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, printers, copiers, scanners, faxes, and appointment scheduling and call forwarding systems

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal qualification in office administration, secretarial work, or related training

Qualification in paralegal studies or similar preferred

Associate's Degree in Business Administration or Paralegal Studies
