Responsibilities

Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Qualifications

Education Requirements
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates; preferred for experienced RNs
Experience Requirements
One year experience preferred
Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
Two year NICU level 2 or 3 experience preferred
Mom Baby experience and transition experience preferred
Licenses/Certification Requirements
RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
Physical Requirements
Medium workexert up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly

Schedule and Additional Details

Schedule: 7 on/7 off Nights and Days, 2 weekend shifts in 6 weeks, 5 shifts of availability in a 6-week period, 1 major and 1 minor holidays, rotating.

At CommonSpirit Mountain Region, we believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our mission of humankindness. We operate a 5-bed level 2 NICU. We care for gestations from 32 weeks and above; the NICU team is supported by an in-house neonatology/app group. The APP (NNP/PA/Pediatric hospitalist) is in-house 24/7 and neonatology rounds daily; the unit emphasizes transition and postpartum care. NICU RNs typically manage 13 babies per nurse; postpartum and transition care accompany delivery.
Our NICU team cross-trains to the PP and transition RN role with orientation to support learning needs.

Pay Range: $33.15 - $53.04 per hour. Shift: Variable.
