Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in managing inventory processes for both front-end and pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for implementing best practices and standard operating procedures, ensuring that our shelves are stocked and organized efficiently.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and training on inventory best practices across the store.
Assisting with pharmacy inventory tasks, such as receiving, counting, and ordering products.
Maintaining on-shelf availability and ensuring the accuracy of planograms.
Utilizing reports and system applications to manage inventory levels and pricing accuracy.
Handling returns and managing inventory discrepancies, including damaged goods and overages.
Opening and closing the store in the absence of management, including cash handling and operational readiness for business hours.
Providing excellent customer service by engaging with customers and resolving any issues effectively.
Coaching team members on proper inventory management processes.
Performing deliveries scan-ins and ensuring proper receiving practices.
Completing pharmacy shipments and managing recalls and returns under the pharmacist-in-charge's supervision.
Executing pricing activities, managing markdowns, and ensuring accurate signage.
Maintaining compliance with local laws regarding regulated products.
Preparing for physical inventory and ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
Supporting all package delivery activities and assisting in the execution of the Pickup Program.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A background in retail, with at least six months of experience at Walgreens or one year in a similar role.
Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
The capability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
